Career resumé:

André Vandemeulebroecke joined SOPARTEC in September 2008 as Senior Investment Manager. André a civil electrical engineer has 25 years experience in the field of microelectronics. André began his career as an FNRS researcher in the microelectronics laboratory of UCL, in the area of cryptography. In addition to theoretical studies, building a dedicated processor, 15 publications and 2 patents, André has actively supervised about ten final year internships.  André then joined Alcatel Microelectronics, a Belgian company bought by STMicroelectronics in 2002, one of the world leaders in semiconductors. In this international environment , André held different positions in  R&D, marketing, sales, account management, business development and more recently managing research projects with university industry cooperation.  During his career André has been involved in the acquisition of companies (including due diligence of Alcatel Microelectronics) as well as negotiating product or technology licence agreements.
