Mission
In the context of its mission of service to the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL), Sopartec's role is to provide expertise and high quality services for researchers to foster the transfer of technologies with a view to maximising direct and indirect returns to the university community.
Vision
The vision of Sopartec is to develop a technology transfer company of best practice in the sector so as to become a role model in Belgium and internationally.

BackgroundSince 1992 Sopartec has been active as a seed capital investment company for fostering the creation of new companies based on the Université Catholique de Louvain research. Since its creation, Sopartec has invested in several companies of which the most important are IBA, Neurotech, IBt Bebig, Telemis. At the end of 1999, Sopartec's investment role was augmented when it was entrusted with managing the university's intellectual property in cooperation with the Administration de la recherche. |

Les « Petits-Déjeuners Rencontres » de la Sopartec sont nés en décembre 2007. L’objectif de ces rencontres est de favoriser le rapprochement des personnes impliquées dans le processus de valorisation de la recherche universitaire
